PUDUCHERRY

Puducherry, formerly known as Pondicherry, is a small Union Territory on the southeastern coast of India, along the Bay of Bengal. It is unique for its strong French colonial influence, visible in its architecture, town planning, cuisine, and cultural life. The territory consists of four separate regions—Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam—scattered across different parts of India, making it geographically distinctive.
